THE MANUAL
COPSA has developed a manual and a series of training videos specifically for Adult Day Centers.
The Manual on Foundations of Dementia Enabled Care in Adult Day Programming includes useful information as well as worksheets to help the users think through how to apply the content on the job. The 117-page Manual was designed for self-study or for use in a training group, where staff learn content together with colleagues and supervisors.

THE TRAINING VIDEOS
To supplement the use of the Manual, we have created a series of seven videos.
Like the Manual, the video series offers basic information about how dementia affects the people living with it. Each video introduces strategies and approaches related to a particular topic area. The Foundations manual provides additional content and practice exercises.
VIDEO 1: Overview
VIDEO 2: Brain Functioning
VIDEO 3: Focus on Strengths
VIDEO 4: Communication
VIDEO 5: Planning Activities
VIDEO 6: Safety Concerns
VIDEO 7: Program Environment
